Vadzim Samaryn, PhD

Personal information
Born on February 25-th, 1980 in Minsk.
In 2002 Vadzim Samaryn graduated from the Law Faculty of the Belarusian State University with honours. In 2002 he became a laureate of the Presidential Fund for Social Support of gifted students. From 2002 to 2006 was a postgraduate student at the Department of Criminal Procedure and Directorate of Public Prosecutions (Belarusian State University, Law Faculty). In 2003-2004 took a study course on German law (University of Tübingen, the Higher Regional Court of North Rhine-Westphalia, the Ministry of Justice of North Rhine-Westphalia).
In June 2006 he defended the thesis “Interaction between criminal prosecuting bodies, courts of the Republic of Belarus and institutions of justice in foreign countries on criminal matters” and was awarded PhD in Law (Candidate of Science).
Since 2006 he has been with the Department of Criminal Procedure and Directorate of Public Prosecutions (Belarusian State University, Law Faculty) as a junior lecturer, lecturer, associate professor.
In 2010 lectured at the Dalian University of Technology (China), Mykolas Romeris University (Lietuva), Deusto University (Spain), in 2014 lectured at the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University (Kazakhstan) as a visiting professor.
Scholarly interests are connected with the criminal procedure, international and comparative criminal procedure, international legal assistance in criminal matters, institutional (constitutional) law of the European Union. He published more than 70 scientific papers.

The authors also define the provisions of the law of evidence, the grounds and procedure of enforcement of coercive measures, procedure for examination of a civil claim and other provisions.
