Sergei I. Simanovskiy

 Simanovskiy Sergei I.Sergei I. Simanovskiy is a Candidate of Philosophical Sciences and holds the position of an Associate Professor at the Department of Political Science.

He graduated from History Faculty, Minsk Pedagogical Institute with a degree in history and foreign (English) language in 1980.

He took a post-graduate course in 1990 and then defended thesis in Philosophy.

From 1990 to 2000 he held the position of Associate Professor at the Department of Political

Science and Law of the Belarusian State Pedagogical University.

He has been working at the BSU, the Department of Political Science since 2000.

Sergei I. Simanovskiy lectures in Political Science, Political Psychology (author's course), The basis of the Ideology of the Belarusian State, Human Rights (author's course), Comparative Politics (author's course).

His research interests lie in methodology of comparative analysis of political processes, human rights, political psychology.

Sergei I. Simanovskiy is the author of over 130 publications. His recent significant publications include « Representation of Interests in the Political System of the Society» (2008), «Human Rights: Training Manual. 2-nd edition» (2010).

The types of representation of interests in a political system are considered. Stable and systematic communication between groups of interests and governmental patterns, responsble for determination and accomplishment of a political rate are analyzed.

Human Rights: Training Manual. 2-nd edition.
In the manual the phenomenon of world culture and civilization human rights is considered. The basic concepts of this phenomenon, the international and national mechanisms of their protection and also the situation with human rights in Belarus are analyzed.
