Alla V. Shavcova
Since 1995 till 2002 she worked at the Constitutional Law Department of the BSU as a lecturer, since 2002 she has worked as an Associate Professor of the Department of the Constitutional Law of the Law Faculty of the BSU. In addition to teaching she cooperates with the National Centre of Law Information of the Republic of Belarus. She is head of the UNESCO Department Branch on Information Technology and Law of the Law faculty of the BSU. She is also a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Constitutional Court.
In 1997 she was awarded PhD (Candidate of Sciences) in Law for the thesis «State sovereignty of the Republic of Belarus». Her research interests lie in theoretical aspects and practical implementation of nation`s and people`s rights to self-identity; sovereignty and its types; implementation and protection of human rights and liberties.
Alla Shavcova has authored 80 research papers, course books and training manuals.

The book explains the definition of «sovereignty», its kinds; main elements of state sovereignty, spheres of its implementation, guarantees of provision, law regulations.
Human Rights (Law of Human Rights) // Course-book, training manual (Minsk, 2005).
The course book is a complex. It contains thematic plan, special research literature and normative law acts relating to the whole course and separate topics, lecture course curriculum, self-check questions, tests and tasks to topics under study, 30 variants of control tasks, answers to more difficult tasks, and also questions for preparation to exams, research paper (including term paper and diploma paper) topics as well as topics for roundtable discussions.
