Taisiya I. Dovnnar
LLD in Law, full Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law of the Law Faculty of the BSU.She was born on October 15, 1944.
She graduated from Minsk Medical School in 1964.
She graduated from the Law Faculty of the BSU in 1973.
In 1985 she completed a post-graduate course in Law at the Department of Theory and History of State and Law of the Law faculty of the Leningrad State University.
In 1986 she was awarded PhD in Law for the thesis "Continuity in the constitutional construction of the Belarusian Soviet Socialist Republic ".
In 1997 she was awarded LLD in Law.
Since 1977 she has been working at the Law faculty of the BSU. In addition to teaching, she’s Academic Secretary of Academic Council of the Law Faculty.
She’s a member of the Council for the dissertation defense (law science).
She has received numerous awards from the Ministry of Justice in recognition of her professional achievements.
She lectures on “History of State and Law of Belarus”.
Her research interests lie in history of the state and law in Belarus.
She has authored more than 230 research papers, course-books and training manuals. She has also served on editorial boards of scientific journals.

The article deals with the history of legal development of Belarus during ancient states till modern state of the end of the XX century. The author reveals peculiarities and trends in the development of national law, based on the differentiation of the most important periods of the evolution of state.
