In 1986 he graduated from the Law Faculty of the Belarusian State University.

In 1989 he graduated from graduate school.

Career:

From 1989 to 1994 – lecturer, since 1994 – senior lecturer, since 1996 - Associate Professor, since 2014-Professor of the Department of Criminalistics of the Faculty of Law of BSU.

From October 1997 to September 2000 - Director of the BSU campus, Deputy Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Social Issues.

From 2000 to 2014 – Director of the BSU Law College.

Since 2014 - Chairman of the Trade Union Committee of the Belarusian State University.
