Tatiana S. Maslovskaya

Tatiana S. MaslovskayaPhD (Candidate of Sciences) in Law, Associate Professor of the Constitutional Law Department of the Law Faculty of the BSU.

She graduated from the Law Faculty of the BSU in 1999. Since 1999 till 2002 she took a post-graduate course in Law at the Institute of State and Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. In 2004 she was awarded PhD for the thesis “President of the Republic of Belarus”. Since 2002 she has been working at the Constitutional Law Department.

She lectures on Constitutional Law of Republic of Belarus, Constitutional Law of Foreign Countries. Her research interests lie in constitutional law of foreign countries, constitutional law, comparative law. She is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Constitutional Court.

Member of the International Association of Constitutional Law, Member of the European Public Law Group.

Institution of Presidency: Theoretical and Constitutional Foundations. Monograph. (Minsk, 2010).
The monograph provides the results of the complex research of the constitutional and legal institution of presidency in the Republic of Belarus.

Constitutional law of the Republic of Belarus: Course-book (Minsk, 2011, 2017 ).
The author outlines the basic notions of constitutional law. The course-book is designed for independent studying.

Comparative Constitutional Law: Course-book /co-authored (Minsk, 2009);
The present educational guidance is designed for studying constitutional law of the Republic of Belarus and constitutional law of foreign countries within comparative law studies. It outlines the main definitions and institutions of constitutional law which should constitute the basis of students’ answers at the examination on the subject.

The article considers two basic ways of access to constitutional justice for individuals in European states – direct and indirect. The author dwells on indirect way of individual appeal to institutions of control, the peculiarities of its European model as well as French constitutional model of access to constitutional justice for individuals.

The article deals with the urgent theoretical issue concerned with the role of obligatory preliminary constitutional control in legislative process in the Republic of Belarus. The article analyzes three ways of a determining the place of obligatory preliminary constitutional control in legislative process in the Republic of Belarus. The author considers the concept of a stage of legislative process and its main characteristics.
